How do I Convert a VRS Rx from Seeding Rate to Pounds?
Objective:
Current Stand Recommendations are only generated and exported with a Seeding Rate measurement and does not include an option to edit the product. These instructions specifically address how to complete the conversion from seeding rate to pounds per acre using Pioneer® Field360™ Studio.
Requirements:
- Pioneer® Field360™ Studio access.
- Crop Zones assigned.
- Products Placed or As-Planted data uploaded.
- Yield Goals set.
- VRS Rx created in and exported from Corteva VRS.
Process:
- Create the VRS Rx in Corteva Fields.
- Export and Download the VRS Rx.
- In Pioneer® Field360™ Studio, in the Grower window, select the Operation and Crop Year.
- Select the field you need exported.
- Select the Seeding menu up top.
- Select Advanced Seed Recommendations.
- Select the Open
icon.
- Select Advanced Seed Rate Script Editor.
- Select OK.
- Select the following in each tab:
- Crop Zones:
- Select Crop: Corn [You can select Soybeans or other crops if needed].
- Select Commodity: <Any>.
- Layers:
- Check-mark the Stand 2.0 VRS Recommendation layer.
- Calculators:
- Ensure Nothing is selected.
- Surfacing:
- Uncheck everything to ensure nothing is selected.
- General:
- Uncheck everything to ensure nothing is selected.
- Crop Zones:
- Select Run.
- Select the following:
- Variety Placement method: Add missing varieties.
- Existing VRS Recommendations: Overwrite any existing VRS Recommendation.
- Select OK.
- Select Close.
NOTE: You can chose to save this configuration or select No to move forward. - Select Seeding.
- Select VRS Export.
- Check mark VRS RX to export.
- Select Export Recommendation

- Select the monitor (ex: Kinze Blue Vantage) from Device Formats and your export configurations as desired.
- Set the Settings.
- Set the Include Reports.
NOTE: Make sure to check Include with Export if you would like to see these exported. - Set the filename template.
- Set the Send To.
- Under File select where the export should go by selecting the ellipses (...).
- Products:
- Select Edit Product.
- Select Controller Unit: pound/acre.
- Select Conversion: seed/pound (conversion will come from bag tag, seeds/lb).
- Select OK.
- Select Export.
