How do I create a Variety Layer?
Overview:
Variety Layers show varieties/hybrids placed on field(s). The layer generated can be based on either imported planting or harvest operations. The variety layer may contain attributes such as variety, OpRegionName, SeedRate, Area, IsSCPT, ProductLotRef, and OpRegionKey.
NOTE: This layer is required for the use of Variety Locator (Export Manager - Include Variety Layers). Created Layers are not included in the Yield Book Maps reports.
Requirements:
- Farms and Fields created in Corteva Fields or Pioneer® Field360™ Studio.
- Monitor Data uploaded.
- Products linked in the FieldOp Resource Linker (As-Planted Data).
Process:
- Navigate to the Operation and Crop Year in Field360 Studio.
- Select the FieldOps Menu.
- Select Create Variety Layers.
- To create a variety layer, you need to select the level in the Resource tree for which you want to create the variety layers. You may select the operation, farm, or field. After selecting the domain, select the one of the following variety layers to create a crop zone layer:
- Use the Create Variety Region Layers tool to create a layer based on imported planting operations.
- Use the Create Variety Strip Layers to create a layer based on imported planting operations. The Create Variety Strip Layers tool is very similar to the Create Variety Region Layers tool with the major difference being that this tool shows the actual strips of each variety where it was planted.
- Use the Create Variety Layers to create a layer based on imported planting operations that contain more than one seed product.
- Use the Create Variety Layers from Harvest tool to create a layer based imported harvest operations.
- Use the Create Product Layers tool to create a layer based on products found in as-applied operations.
- The Create Domain Encirca Variety Layer tool is to create a layer based on imported planting operations that is currently not used.
- The Create High Level Encirca Variety Layers tool is to create a layer based on imported planting operations that is currently not used.
- Use the Create Variety Region Layers tool to create a layer based on imported planting operations.
- Create your Layer Name in the Planting Region Variety Layer Name window.
- Select OK.
NOTE: Select the "Run at Server" check box if you want to send the request for processing to the server rather than waiting for it to complete on your computer. When the run request has been processed, the results are added to your database and display in the Resources tree. In addition, you receive an email notification indicating the completion of processing the request.
