How do I Create Farms and Fields?
Overview:
Creation of a farm and field in Corteva Fields is the starting point to working with digital agronomy services. Farms allow for fields to be grouped and sorted in an operation, while fields allow for crops to be placed and other services to be utilized.
Requirements:
- Creation of a Corteva Fields account.
Process:
- From the Navigate to an Operation box, search for an operation and select it or select one of your three most recently visited operations.
- Verify the correct year is displayed under the Crop Year drop-down menu.
- Select the I Want To... button.
- Select Add Icon
Next to Field.
- Select a Tool from the Draw Field Boundary Tools.
- The Select Tool

- Used to select any available Common Land Units (CLUs) which are highlighted in orange on the map.
- Also used to move vertices on existing field boundaries.
- The Draw Polygon Tool
- Used to manually draw a polygon that represents the field boundary.
- Used to manually draw a polygon that represents the field boundary.
- The Draw Circle Tool
- Creates a circle that represents the field boundary. Enter the coordinates and radius or manually draw.

- The Select Tool
- Proceed to create a field boundary.
- Make any necessary edits to the field boundary at this time by using the Edit Field Boundary tools
- The Cut tool
- Cuts into the boundary to omit areas of the field such as ponds or terraces. draw functions are the same as the Draw Boundary tool.

- The Remove Point tool
- Removes a node/vertex from the boundary by clicking on it.

- The Cut tool
- Once you have drawn or selected your boundary and have made edits to the field, Select Continue.
- Enter a Field Name and assign it to a farm available in the drop-down menu in the Edit Field Card to the right.
- If a Farm is not listed in the drop-down, select the Add Farm button
- Optionally, you can place a crop on the field at this time in the Edit Crop Card.
- Crops not listed can be searched for using Search...

- Select Save.
- The new field is now visible on the Single Operation view.
