How do I view Crop Health and Satellite imagery?
Overview:
Imagery can be viewed based on health scale or the true color imagery on the Imagery tab. This provides a view of the crop health for different days. Dates can be selected to view different image occurrences.
NOTE: Because of weather conditions and cloud cover, you might not see a satellite image for each day.
Requirements:
- Grower must have field Registered in Infinity Platinum.
- Operation, Farms, and Fields created.
- Crop zones created.
- Products placed on field.
Process:
- Log into the Pioneer Seeds app.
- Select the Operation and crop year.
- Select
- Select a Field from your crop list to view available layers.
- Select the
icon on the left to view the Health Scale. This scale applies to the selected field.
NOTE: The acres on the scale will reflect the actual acres on the field.
- To view the Product Placed on the field and the planted date, tap the seed icon
located in the upper left of the display.
- To view Satellite Imagery for your Current Location, tap the Follow Me icon
located in the upper right of the display.
- To view Satellite Imagery for the Field selected, tap the Zoom To Field icon
located in the upper right of the display.
- To view a different layer -OR- side by side comparison of layers on the field, select the Layers icon
and choose up to two available layers:
- Crop Health Index (CHI) layer.
- applies analytics to all images coming in and provides metrics to help you understand how crop health is progressing throughout the season relative to that specific field.
- Yield layer.
- Yield data provided to your Pioneer Seed Rep or uploaded to your John Deere Operations Center Connection can be viewed with this layer.
- Satellite Imagery layer.
- New images are added frequently to provide recent, high resolution views of your fields.
- Seeding Rate layer.
- As-Planted data provided to your Pioneer Seed Rep or uploaded to your John Deere Operations Center Connections can be viewed with this layer.
- Variety layer.
- Seed variety information provided from As-Planted data can be viewed with this layer.
- Crop Health Index (CHI) layer.
